IT Buyback, Data Destruction and ITAD in Qatar

Qatar’s government, energy and financial sectors run large IT estates with strict security policies. We buy retired IT, destroy data on site where required, and recycle what cannot be reused.

Collection

How collection works in Qatar

We work with organisations in West Bay, Lusail, Msheireb and the industrial areas, and with data centers in Doha. For sites outside the UAE, we either destroy the data on site before anything moves, or work through a vetted local partner. Used electronics crossing GCC borders need the right customs paperwork, and hazardous e-waste falls under the Basel Convention, so we plan the route before we collect.

Rules that apply

Data protection and e-waste rules in Qatar

Qatar’s Law No. 13 of 2016 on Personal Data Privacy Protection was the first comprehensive data protection law in the GCC. Companies in the Qatar Financial Centre follow the QFC’s own data protection regulations. Both expect personal data to be disposed of securely.
