What decides the price of used MacBooks
Chip and year
Apple Silicon models (M1 and later) are priced well above Intel Macs. The year and chip are the biggest factor.
Memory and storage
Unified memory and SSD size cannot be upgraded on recent Macs, so they matter more than on Windows laptops.
Activation Lock and MDM
A Mac with Activation Lock on is worth only its parts. Releasing devices from Apple Business Manager and signing out of Find My is the single biggest thing you can do for the price.
Battery cycle count
Cycle count and battery health are checked on every unit.
Cosmetic grade
Dents, scratches and screen coating wear are graded.
Data and documentation
How we handle your MacBooks
Macs are erased with a verified cryptographic erase for Apple Silicon and T2 models, or a full overwrite where that is the right method, and logged by serial number. You get a per-device certificate. We send your IT team a short checklist for releasing devices before pickup.

What if our Macs are still in Apple Business Manager?
Release them in Apple Business Manager and remove them from your MDM before collection. We send a checklist. Locked Macs can still be collected, but they are priced for parts until released.
Do you buy Intel MacBooks?
Yes. Intel MacBooks from recent years still resell, and older ones have value in parts.
Can you erase Macs on site?
Yes, for organisations whose policy requires it. Ask for on-site erasure in your quote request.
